Vinaros Christmas Fayre
19th November,
2009
<Back to recent events>
Father Christmas arrived early, he came to bring cheer to the
Portico at Vinaros for their Christmas Fayre. The event was a great success
and raised over €1,000 for Church Funds. There were many stalls selling Bric
a Brac, Jewellery, Teas, Coffee mince pies etc etc even sausages.
The team worked hard and all agreed a great event well worth the extra
effort.

Car Boot Sale
at Panoramica.
<Back to recent events>
On Saturday, 10th October, Vinarós church manned [or
should that be 'personned'] a stall at the new Panoramica Car Boot Sale.
Quite the strangest car boot sale I've been to - no cars allowed near the
stalls, no boots in evidence.....though our stall sold a few pairs of shoes.
However, with the aid of Gill, Doris and Les, the stall was set up, and
customers started coming along before we were properly open. By lunch time
we had taken just under a hundred euros. The team were delighted to see Ann,
Arnold, Patsie and Pat arriving to take over the stall, though most of the
madding crowd were elsewhere by then, tucking into Paella somewhere close
by. Well done, team!

Blessing of the Standing
Lectern
At the Vinarós service on September 27th, Rev Paul
formally blessed the standing lectern which had been designed, made and
donated by Roger Limmer. Paul gave thanks for all the 'furnishings' which
had been provided in the last five months, by devoted workers in the
congregation. It was wonderful that they had used their God-given talents to
further His work in Spain
