On 12th July, a small convoy of cars left the sea front at L'Ampolla and
headed up into the mountains to the house of Christine, where - ably
assisted by several other ladies of the Church - an English Tea was enjoyed
by over forty friends.
The sandwiches didn't seem to stop coming. The tea was proper, English tea!
When we were just about 'full to busting' we were all told that the scones
and strawberry jam had arrived.
What a happy summer's evening. It was sometimes difficult to hear what folk
were saying because of the chatter on all the tables. A memorable event,
which raised 210€ for church funds. Our sincere thanks to all who helped,
directed the convoy, provided the food and came along to participate.
